Many of my books have been translated into various languages and published around the globe. But many have not, and there’s a new web-based business that brings writers and translators together on a shared-royalty basis. Will it work? I’ve no idea, but it seems worth a try, and I’ve posted two of my titles, The Specialists and Such Men Are Dangerous. The site is babelcube.com, and if any of y’all are eager to translate one of ’em into Spanish or Turkish or Finnish or Hungarian or…well, pretty much anything this side of Basque, visit their site and see what you think of the operation.

went & registered, looooooooove your books but imagine most of them have already been translated into French?!
Many have but many have not. Of the two I posted, Such Men Are Dangerous was done in French years ago, but the book is out of print and the rights have long since reverted. I don’t believe the Specialists was ever done in France, but if it has, the rights too have long since come back to me. I’ll probably be posting more books on BabelCube when time permits—whenever that may be—but if there’s something that particularly interests you, email me directly (lawbloc@gmail.come) and I’ll let you know of it’s availability, and if available will psot it on BabelCube.
How long does it take for book rights to revert back to you?
I’ve seen the ads for babelcube, but I’m not certain on the quality of the translations. Perhaps I’m too skeptical. Please keep us posted on your results. Thanks!
What´s wrong with Basque?

Greetings from Brazil. Here we have just a couple of your books by two publishers. Only six Scudder novels, five Rhodenbarr and two others.
In fact, A Walk Among the Tombstones (the portuguese name is Caçada Mortal, Deadly Hunt) was released last week because the movie is opening in the theaters next Thursday.
