Spoons: updating the update

A glitch is still a glitch, and adding photos to the listing of the Limited Edition of The Burglar Who Counted the Spoons turned out to be impossible. They would upload just fine, and then they’d disappear somewhere in the posting process.

I found a work-around, finally, by posting a new listing for the book—and it worked just fine. If you go to it, you’ll see the cover (and isn’t it pretty?) along with the limitation sheet and a full sheet of the custom stamps.

The old photo-free listing is still up there, until I can figure out how to take it down without delisting my other titles and half the stocks on the NYSE. (Actions, as you know, have consequences, and rarely the ones intended.) And the lack of a photo hasn’t proved an impediment to orders, which have proceeded apace.

Are you sure Alfred Knopf started this way?

  1. Dear Mr. Block,
I’m sorry that you have had such a struggle with technology. Me? Never! (That’s why I haven’t commented on any of your posts in about a year…ever since I downloaded one of those picture ID thingys and have been haunted by it ever since). My demon seems to have disappeared…so perhaps we have broken the spell.

    • Ah well. It’s always something…
