As part of a Labor Day promotion, three of my books for writers are eVailable for the next couple of days for the not-too-hefty sum of 99¢ apiece. Here are the Kindle links:

The Liar’s Companion: https://amzn.to/2ZtAY2Z
The Crime of Our Lives: https://amzn.to/2MGwzUr
And here are links for most other platforms—Kobo, Nook, Apple, etc:

The Crime of Our Lives: books2read.com/u/3L0j20
I was going to tart up this post with cover art and blurbs, but let’s keep it simple. Click the links and go to the product pages to see the covers and read detailed book descriptions. But don’t dawdle—the prices are good for this weekend only. Then they all pumpkin right back up to $6.99.
Cheers,
Clicked a couple of the links for Apple books, and the price showed as $6.99. Always enjoy and profit (intellectually) from adding to my library of Laurence Block books.
Wondering if I need to plug in a code/discount somewhere?
It may take a while for the price change to register on some platforms. Keep trying; it should work soon!
The Liar’s Companion now shows $0.99, but the other two are still showing $6.99 on Apple books.
Your column on writing in Writer’s Digest was the first place I eagerly turned to read, and I was lucky enough to catch your traveling writers workshop when you came through Dallas. I am a big fan of your work and your humanity.
Hi Mr. Block,
You are now at the 99 Cent Store (aka -Amazon)! There is a line of stores named 99 Cent Stores here in California. Sort of like the Dollar Stores everywhere else. They often have some surprisingly good quality merchandise for less than a buck. They tend to pick off overstocks, etc. So if you see something good you should immediately stock up. So, I have taken the opportunity to stock up on these writing books. I don’t do fiction (my wife says otherwise but that is another story) but good writing tips work just as well for the non-fiction I do. Thank you, and all the best to you!
Good to hear, Levin—thanks!
Guess what? There are three Lawrence J. Blocks! You’re the mystery writer. There was the actor who passed away and then there’s me, Larry Block (aka Lawrence j.Block the screenwriter. Larry Block the actor did not write The Funhouse or Captain America. I did. I would greatly appreciate it if you could remove or clarify the misinformation from your website. Best of luck and continued success in your amazing career. Thanks and God Bless. Larry Block (aka Lawrence J. Block The screenwriter.
Two Lawrence J’s, actually—my middle name is Richard. OTOH, there’s the former federal judge.
But that’s hardly the point, is it? I was, like Bogart in Casablanca, misinformed. It may take me a while to get to it, but I’ll amend the blog entry accordingly.
