Guess Ms. Ulaby didn’t get the sublety of Scudder’s resigning from the NYPD; she said he was “kicked off the force.” Sorry to pick nits, but there’s a huge distinction.
On a positive note, I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Block re the electric candles in churches. It’s just not satisfying to drop a coin and light the filament. Sometimes you just want some old fashioned fire!
